Vancouver's Top Teasers Attempt Ten Minute MINIMUM!!
Vancouver BC- October 10, 2012- On November 10th, six of Vancouver’s most celebrated Burlesque performers will take to the Rio stage for Burlesque-Long Form. An artistic challenge set by producer and performer April O’Peel, local luminaries have one chance only to perform a full ten minute act. Will the performers be able to please, tease and captivate their audience for a full ten minutes? Expect outlandish props, projections, and over the top narratives as Lola Frost, Cherry On Top, Melody Mangler, Lydia Decarllo, Nicky Ninedoors, and April O’Peel each rise to the occasion.
Traditionally, Burlesque acts were closer to 20 minutes in length. In its modern reinvention, however, a standard Burletta runs anywhere between three and six minutes.
“Dita Von Teese and her accompanying headliners are some of the only Burlesque performers in the world performing acts comparable in length to the acts the foremothers of Burlesque were performing back in the 50s. Longer sets are the norm for many of our variety counterparts and I wondered if it was possible for our local performers to pull it off!”

Pursuing excellence in ecdysiasts, April has recruited six major players from the pool of top Vancouver Talent. Performer hold titles ranging from “Most Comedic” to “Sizzlin Striptease.” The group has established themselves not only as world class Burlesque performers but also as respected teachers, costumers, playwrights, performers and producers. A stunning variety of unique and spectacular Burlesque performers await the audience of Burlesque- Long Form!
